ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED .-On Saturday afternoon Thomas Connor, aged about thirty-seven, one of the hands on board the Matilda, deep sea fishing craft, whilst standing amidships, the vessel then being inside Maria Island, running for the Schoutens, was struck by the fore boom and knocked overboard. A boat was instantly lowered, but the unfortunate man was not seen to rise after he fell from the craft.
