A good man, loved by many
Peter John Devereaux was born in Hobart on 18 January 1944, the son of Gordon and Marie Devereaux.
He had been living in Youngtown, his occupation was a firefighter. He was a member of the Spring Bay Boat Club and was affectionately known as ‘Doova'.
Sometime between the 21st August and 22nd August 2023, Peter disappeared in Spring Bay while transiting in his fibre glass dinghy from his anchored boat to the shore. The cause of his death is as yet undetermined, being subject to a coronial inquiry.
He is survived by a son Scott and daughter Jacqueline.
